PIN Reset – Function 037

Function 037 allows the API user to set the PIN to a state of all four zeros. A cardholder may call in to
your Customer Service Department complaining that his PIN doesn’t work. You can use the PIN reset
function 037 to set his PIN to “0000”. This function is only available to magstripe cards due to chip cards
requiring an online call to change the PIN for the chip. The PIN reset function also changes the cards
status to PIN change required (A). The cardholder must then change the PIN to one of their choice.
When the cardholder changes their PIN the system will also change the card status to open (1)
